Policies for Rescheduling:
Soccer
- Call the Crockett Park hot line at 615-373-7752 status of fields prior to practices or games; a message from the YMCA may come out out prior to the hotline being updated explaining the status.
- The City of Brentwood determines when fields are open or closed with Crockett Park and Flag Pole if inclement weather has occurred, present, or predicted.
- The City of Brentwood notifies the YMCA prior to updating the hotline to allow the Youth Sports Department enough time to communicate to the league of any potential closing of fields for practice and games.
Basketball & Soccer
- Please check with the Brentwood Sports Team for the current seasons Inclement Weather Schedule
- Dependent upon available space, the YMCA will attempt to reschedule canceled practices but we cannot guarantee those practices will be rescheduled.
- The YMCA will make every attempt to reschedule games but cannot guarantee make-ups due to schedules, facility/field access, etc. To avoid adding additional weeks on to the regular season, some teams may be asked to play double headers during the course of the regular season or during regularly scheduled practice times to avoid future conflicts with scheduling, facility/field access, etc.
- Also, if games are canceled due to weather and a weekend is not available to make up the cancelled games, the coaches can reach out to the YMCA to help them get in contact with the opposing coach about making up the game during one of the coaches practice time during the week. Both coaches will have to agree to making it up at a practice and it is up to them to communicate it with their teams. An official to officiate the game is not guaranteed; the sports department will notify if an official will be present (official or YMCA staff) or if both coaches will act as the official and will treat the make-up game as a scrimmage.
- Any game that is played through the 1st half and play is stopped in the 2nd half will not be rescheduled.
